TEST DRIVE MEME |
01. ARRIVING IN PELEA
A cold wind singing down from the white-capped mountains which hang blue-black in the distance stirs your cheek, the tall grass all around you. A bough creaks as the wind makes it tremble, and the dappled shadows drift over you, leaves rustling. As you blink awake, you hear the quiet hiss of water over stones. You are not where you once were!
You and a large group of strangers are blinking awake, pulling yourselves up off the dirt, grass, and rubble near a small wooded stream. There is no evidence of civilization in sight, and as you exchange stories you realize that you must decide what to do.
Will you head past the trees and towards the mountains? Deeper into the forest? Stay put and wait for help to arrive? You might even try to meet everyone else, and either convince them to band together... or head their separate ways.
02. CITY SLICKER
There are many cities throughout the world of Pelea, and in most player characters, the Flaws, are welcomed as curiosities. From the lively, bustling markets of colorful Vairaya to the grimly efficient and stately mountain strongholds of Draichurith, your characters will find a wide variety of cultures and races to interact with and investigate. They could be seeking empoyment, answers to the mystery of their arrival, or a quiet place to drink away their worries.

03. WILDCARD!

With any luck, we'll run into plenty of dangerous things. You've got dibs on keeping us both alive, though.
[Dangerous still scares her, but at least being chased by large and deadly things is familiar. Beyond that, there's a part of her that hopes the Doctor would be out around danger, and that she might run into him if she looks hard enough. Recognizing that it's dangerous to go out alone, she's grateful to have found someone that's daring.
So she grabs hold of his hand as she slips around from behind him, and tugs him along after her in the opposite direction of everyone else.]
Come on!

Well, I'm not omnipotent. I can't guarantee you'll stay alive. I will, but, I can certainly try to keep you from coming to harm. I can promise that much.
[And a deal with the Devil is a very firm deal, after all.]
So what shall I call you, mm? Spunky? Seems to suit.
no subject
[Spunky isn't a bad thing to have associated with her. It's much better than slow or lazy or dim, after all. ]
My name's Clara Oswald.
no subject
[Don't worry, Clara, he'd come up with a suitable nickname for you eventually. He always did.]
I'm Lucifer. Lucifer Morningstar. Pleasure to meet you. So, Clara Oswald of the adventurous sort, where have you been all my life?
no subject
Instead of focusing on that, she gives him a grin.]
Blackpool, mostly. Been all over the galaxy as of late though. I'm sure we would've run into each other eventually. Even if you aren't omnipotent.
[Just a subtle dig to get him to possibly explain his name.]
no subject
[She was certainly perky. He appreciated that. But she had said one thing...]
Galaxy? As in space? Well, you must tell me all about that. Never had the pleasure myself.
no subject
I'll tell you all about it just as soon as you tell me who you are, with a name like Lucifer and only having recently coming to Earth. You can't be human.

The man I travel with is an alien. No tentacles on him...that I know of. And I've never seen anime, much less tentacle porn but I can say that my adventures so far have been tragically celibate.
[There's a pause, and she gives him a nudge with her hip.]
I didn't think the Devil would be so into animated tentacle porn. Is that why you came to Earth? To see some for yourself?
no subject
[Not possible anymore. Not without his wings, anyway. Shame, really. He might have done so if he'd known there were aliens.
The look he gives her when he hears the word celibate is almost painfully sympathetic.]
You poor thing. No one should have to live through that. Truly. As for the whys, well... you try being a punisher of souls for ten billion years. It gets old, my dear. Even an angel, maybe even especially a fallen one, needs a break. Though, the sex is a fun part of it.
no subject
The man I travel with doesn't notice I'm a woman, I suspect.
[She doesn't comment on what he's told her, instead filing it away for later.]
That's not a mistake you seem likely to make, at least.
[And with that, she drops her hold on his hand and hurries on ahead of him to lead the way and see what's up ahead. ]
no subject
[Was he hitting on her? He was totally hitting on her. Come on. She was pretty, female, adventurous... like catnip for the Devil.
That comment answered her own on what he'd thought of her, but then she goes and scampers off ahead and he sighs. Look, there was a convenient tree over there. They could just go off and take an hour or four and--]
I hope you don't expect me to run.
no subject
You wait there. I'll pop off in this direction, see if there's anything worthwhile, and be back in a mo'.
[And expecting him to do as he's been told, she hurries on ahead. And...there's nothing but trees, trees, and more trees. They can venture on into said trees up where he is, so she makes her way back over to him.]
You were saying something about my being lovely? Feel free to continue, since it looks like we'll be walking a while before anything interesting happens and we'll need something to keep up morale.
no subject
He reached into the inner pocket of his coat and pulled out a silver flask. Unscrewing the top, he took a sip, then handed it over to her.]
Care for a taste as I wax poetic about what a lovely backside you've got?
no subject
Think your waxing poetic depends on what your intentions are.
