TEST DRIVE MEME |
01. ARRIVING IN PELEA
A cold wind singing down from the white-capped mountains which hang blue-black in the distance stirs your cheek, the tall grass all around you. A bough creaks as the wind makes it tremble, and the dappled shadows drift over you, leaves rustling. As you blink awake, you hear the quiet hiss of water over stones. You are not where you once were!
You and a large group of strangers are blinking awake, pulling yourselves up off the dirt, grass, and rubble near a small wooded stream. There is no evidence of civilization in sight, and as you exchange stories you realize that you must decide what to do.
Will you head past the trees and towards the mountains? Deeper into the forest? Stay put and wait for help to arrive? You might even try to meet everyone else, and either convince them to band together... or head their separate ways.
02. CITY SLICKER
There are many cities throughout the world of Pelea, and in most player characters, the Flaws, are welcomed as curiosities. From the lively, bustling markets of colorful Vairaya to the grimly efficient and stately mountain strongholds of Draichurith, your characters will find a wide variety of cultures and races to interact with and investigate. They could be seeking empoyment, answers to the mystery of their arrival, or a quiet place to drink away their worries.

03. WILDCARD!

The voice is decidedly familiar. Uncomfortably so? Perhaps.
Either way, Jace stands as Clary does, looking around, wary but it would only show if someone knows him well enough to know where to look. "Well. Our day just got more interesting, didn't it, Fray."
no subject
"Nice is too difficult for you any time, isn't it?" She replies with a hint of humor, raising an eyebrow at him.
"Any idea where we are?"
Her voice is soft, uncertain. He's had so much knowledge she's been lacking, before. Maybe he can help here and now, too, maybe he knows exactly what's going on. He likes to be in charge, after all.
no subject
He doesn't have his weapons either and don't think that that doesn't bother him too.
no subject
Sometimes, it was annoying. Right now, she's glad he's here, she's glad she has Jace to fight by her side if necessary. She trusts him, implicitly, trusts him with her life.
"Yeah. Let's."
What awaits them? A city? More empty fields? Through all the anxiety of not being home and not knowing how she ended up here, there's a thrill of excitement going up Clary's spine.
no subject
"Right, let's go. Stay vigilant," he warns as he starts to walk, looking around as they go.
no subject
"Penny for your thoughts?"
no subject
"And why not take Alec and Izzy too?"
Honestly.
no subject
"That, I don't know. I wish they were here, too. And Simon. And Luke." Family.
She wishes her mom was here, too. She'd probably know exactly where they are, what's happening. On instinct, Clary reaches out, grabbing Jace's hand in hers, squeezing lightly.

She knows well enough this his arrogance is often a front, but it doesn't make it any less annoying.
"Anything could hurt us, Jace. There could be - for all we know - there could be dragons!" She waves her free hand to the sky, knowing that'd be ridiculous. She actually chuckles to herself, shaking her head.
no subject
"Look around," he says, his shoulders back. "It looks like something out of an old book." Perhaps everyone else would say movie, but Jace is out of touch with popular culture to say the least.
no subject
Oh, what even is she asking. Of course Jace wouldn't read fantasy, not when his entire world was fantasy already. He never needed the fairies and the dragons and the magic; he was living it from the get-go. Clary could have, too.
"Nevermind, don't answer that."

For a moment, they walk in near silence, taking in their surroundings. If only Jace had had a moment to draw new runes on his skin, he'd feel a lot better.
Of course, this is very quiet - almost alarmingly so.
no subject
The silence, though, is eerie - it's incredibly quiet around here, and Clary finds reassurance in the fact that Jace hasn't extracted his hand from her grip. She's not fragile, but she knows that in any kind of combat, Jace is a lot more skilled than she is.
"D'you have your stele with you?" Clary asks after a while, her voice quiet.
